The GLHS Class of 1995 / Dan Nelson Endowment Fund

Dan Nelson was a larger-than-life character who loved life and bringing out the best in others. He attended school in Gahanna from elementary through high school. During his time at Gahanna Lincoln High School, Dan was a soccer player, musician, photographer, journalist, and most importantly, a good friend to many. Although Dan has not been with us for some time, his memory and legacy continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

The Dan Nelson Endowment Fund was created by the GLHS Class of 1995 to honor Dan's spirit, passion, and curiosity. The purpose of this fund is to create new learning opportunities for GLHS students and to spark their interest in a variety of areas. Through this endowment, Dan will continue to influence students for many years to come.

We are asking a few of our key partners to rally their friends, family, and networks to support our work. By becoming a fundraiser for the Dan Nelson Endowment Fund, you will be supporting creative and innovative learning opportunities for the students at Gahanna Lincoln High School. This fund will be used to support a different initiative each year based on applications from the GLHS staff.

For the first project, the Lincoln Live studio at GLHS received a major improvement to its stage and set thanks to the Class of 95 and the Dan Nelson Endowment Fund. The design and construction was designed by the Architecture and SWAG classes with construction completed by the GLHS FabLab class.
